California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regarding their personal information. This page describes those rights and how to exercise them with OnePoint Assistance.
Plain English Summary: If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, ask us to delete it, and tell us not to sell it (we don't sell it). We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email us at support@onepointassistance.com.
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., gives California residents enhanced rights over their personal information and imposes specific obligations on businesses that collect that information.
OnePoint Assistance is committed to complying with the CCPA/CPRA and respecting the privacy rights of California residents.
This CCPA disclosure applies to California residents — individuals who are in California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, or who are domiciled in California but are temporarily outside of the state. If you are not a California resident, our general Privacy Policy applies to you.
In the 12 months prior to the effective date of this policy, OnePoint Assistance has collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:

| Commercial Information | Services requested or considered | Limited (consultation type only) |

| Geolocation Data | State/region (from form or IP) | Limited (state only) |

We collect this information directly from you (via forms, phone calls, or direct contact), automatically (via cookies and web analytics), and from your device (browser type, IP address).
We use the personal information we collect for the following business purposes:
We do not use your personal information for purposes that are materially inconsistent with those described here without giving you prior notice and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
OnePoint Assistance does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We also do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
We may share limited information with licensed tax professionals and attorneys in our referral network solely for the purpose of facilitating the consultation you requested. This sharing is a service provider relationship — not a sale. Those professionals are contractually restricted from using your information for purposes other than providing you with the requested services.
Because we do not sell personal information, you do not need to submit an opt-out request in that regard. However, if you have questions about our data sharing practices, contact us at support@onepointassistance.com.
As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you, the sources, business purposes, and third parties with whom it's shared.
Request deletion of personal information we've collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information needed to complete a transaction or comply with law).
Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information upon verification.
Direct us not to sell or share your personal information. As noted above, we do not sell personal information, but you may request this at any time.
Direct us to use and disclose sensitive personal information only for limited purposes. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights — including denying services, charging different prices, or providing lower quality service.
To exercise any of the rights described above, you or your authorized agent may submit a verifiable consumer request using any of the following methods:
We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. If we need more time (up to 90 days total), we will inform you of the reason and extension in writing. We do not charge a fee for processing verifiable requests unless requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive.
To protect your information and privacy, we must verify your identity before processing a CCPA request. We will ask you to provide information sufficient to verify that you are the person about whom we collected personal information. The information we request for verification will match information we already have on file.
If you submit a request through an authorized agent, we may require written permission from you authorizing the agent to act on your behalf, and we may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
We will not retain any verification information beyond what is needed to process and fulfill your request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:
We reserve the right to amend this CCPA Privacy Rights disclosure at any time to reflect changes in law, our data practices, or the services we offer. We will post any changes on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage California residents to periodically review this page to stay informed about our privacy practices.
